The blogger who goes by the name “bored now,” and who has provided thorough coverage of the IL-05 Congressional race, has posted a video interview with Tom. It’s part of series of video interviews of the Congressional candidates that “bored now” has conducted. The candidates all get asked the exact same questions, the better for the viewer to compare and contrast.
One of the most interesting parts of the interview comes near the end (starting at around 19:50). Tom is asked, “What else should people know about you that they don’t already know?” His response, in part, is this:
What people should know about me that they don’t often know . . . is that I’m very focused on practical solutions and results. I’ve survived as a lawyer doing a kind of practice that other lawyers shun because it seems too chivalrous and quixotic, because I”m focused on very practical results. I will get practical results. This is not a chimerical crusade. If I’m elected, you’ll see changes.
